Privacy Policy

Lore ("Inside Lore") is a private, invite-only game you play with a small circle of people you already know. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. Questions: support@insidelore.com.
What we collect
Account: the phone number (or email) you sign in with, and the display name and avatar you choose.
Your play: the circles you join, your answers to prompts, your guesses, any photos you add on photo rounds, and gameplay stats like streaks and scores.
Notifications: if you turn them on, a push token for your device so we can alert you when it’s your turn.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
How we use it
Only to run the game: to show your answers and photos to the other members of your circle, compute scores and streaks, save your circle’s memories, and send the notifications you asked for.
Who can see it
Your circle: by design, the people in a circle can see each other’s answers, photos, and profile. Lore is invite-only — there is no feed, no followers, and nothing is public.
Service providers: Google Firebase (Google LLC) hosts our sign-in, database, photo storage, and notifications. When your circle generates a "Tapestry," the answers used to create it are sent to OpenAI to write the summary. These companies process the data on our behalf.
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Where it lives & how it’s protected
Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access is limited by security rules to the members of your circle and to us for operating and supporting the service.
Keeping it, and deleting it
We keep your data until you delete it. In the app, open Settings → Your data to Export your data (a JSON copy of everything we store about you) or Delete your account.
Deleting your account is permanent: it removes you from every circle and erases your answers, photos, guesses, and saved memories.
Children
Lore isn’t intended for children under 13. Please don’t use it if you’re under 13.

If we change this policy we’ll update the text here and the "last updated" date above.
